Internship and Volunteer Opportunities

The Peace and Justice Network (PJN) serves as a hub of information and connection for activists and organizations working towards peace, justice and sustainability in Guilford County. The PJN is committed to building stronger intercultural and intergenerational networks, providing public spaces for people to share information, collaborate and celebrate with each other. Through our website and email notices we reach thousands of individuals working on a broad array of issues, towards the goal of building a more just and sustainable Greensboro.

Our internships and volunteer opportunities seek to serve as a catalyst for the further development of leadership opportunities that will help to:
  • Engage and connect with local community activities
  • Provide Collaborative and democratic functioning skills
  • Prepare people for active citizenship and civic engagement
  • Develop strategies that address complex interrelated issues
  • Encourage self reflection and mutual accountability
We provide long and short-term opportunities to participate, learn and reflect by actively participating in an array of PJN activities, including:
  • Monthly PJN planning meetings are held every 4th Monday of the month at 6:00 PM.
  • Serving as Student Liaisons to connect student life and activity to the local PJN work, playing an advocacy role within the PJN to facilitate student involvement.
Interns and volunteers can participate in one or more of the following committees and projects:
