Mission Purpose

The Sierra Club is a nonprofit member-supported, public interest organization that promotes conservation of the natural environment by influencing public policy decisions — legislative, administrative, legal and electoral.

Main Activities

Monthly meeting with environmental speaker, periodic social gatherings, hiking and backpacking, and participating in various environmental and/or political campaigns. There are numerous areas of interest where a person can get involved. Creativity, vision, and a desire to be a part of the change are key.

Meeting Time & Place

Piedmont Plateau Sierra Club meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the at the Church of the Covenant, 501 S. Mendenhall.
